Keep on keeping on, I also sat and worried about the side effects. I got tired of waiting for things to happen and just started going about my daily living activities. I am about 17 months into this and so far so good.0May 2014

Hi Crystal. I stumbled on your profile looking up Melanoma stories. I am also a Melanoma patient. I was diagnosed with Stage 3B in September of 2011. I have been in remission for 3 years. I will be praying for you and your family. I know this is not what you wanted to happen but keep pushing. Never give up. I will pray that this treatment isolates the Melanoma and kills it, so that it never returns. Hang in there.0May 2014

Crystal,
You're having to go through an awful lot!! You don't need me to tell you. But it looks like you are doing all the right things to hold the disease at bay. I hope for a long, long time.
Your attitude is wondrous. You will be a strength for us who are walking similar roads, many others too, and contribute much to lots of people through God's grace which you reflect. I hope others can provide that kind of strength to you. There are times we can be the givers. There are other times we need others. You sound like you know that without my writing it.
You will be in my prayers and I will be happy if I can help in any way or share anything from my experience that may be of value. God has allowed (I didn't say caused) this to happen for reasons we will never know till heaven. It is somehow for the good just as Christ's suffering was. You're part of that now. He will be with you all the way and make His victory yours.
I'm glad you are on the Yervoy. I found it as you read to be very, very important in where I am today almost two years later. Nothing I can say about the side effects except most people don't get hit with the serious ones. I breezed through the treatments, itching and fatigue that was it. I hope your course is as easy and the treatment is still effective.

Crystal,
A very important person for me on this road we walk was Amy Willett. She was one of the most amazing people I have ever known. She also was an exceptional writer and told her story for us all through her website NashVegasMom. http://nashvegasmom.wordpress.com/ She, too, had three children and a husband she loved very much.
If you can find the time, every post she made is more than worth the read. I know she continues to pray for me and help me and many others.0May 2014 -
Reading your experiences is very inspiring and encouraging for me! Thank you! I will also include you in my thoughts!0May 2014

Hi Crystal, we have an opportunity for melanoma patients to participate in a survey/study about their treatments they have taken. It's a simple survey that will take about 90 minutes by phone, if you qualify to take the survey you will be paid $200.00. If you check your email you will find an invitation to take the survey to see if you will qualify. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
