I hope you called the doctor right away. I know if the wound is open and gets infected it can cause you have another operation.0February 2015

Noticed you basically just joined whatnext, sorry for what brings you though. So much this cancer diagnosis does to our lives and so many questions. Been a great support place. Let me know if can help. My surgeries different than yours but have wound care experience and no matter where wounds are the basics hold true.0February 2015

bfmomma- I also have invasive ductal carcinoma. Stage 3 HR+
I just began TH today. I too had 4 rounds of AC. Along with Nuelasta shot received the following day. If you have any questions for me, I'd be glad to answer them for you.
Hang in there, we're not alone in this journey. Wishing you, and everyone reading this, a restful nights sleep.0January 2015 -
Hi and welcome. We have many similarities in our cancer diagnosis. I also had invasive lobular carcinoma and was HER2 positive, as well as ER and PR positive. I was stage IIB. My sentinel node also contained cancer so my surgeon did an axillary dissection, removing 18 but fortunately cancer was only in the sentinel node.
So when will you begin chemo? Are you going to receive Taxotere and Carboplatin? I assume you will receive the "targeted therapy" drug, Herceptin.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Blessings.0January 2015 -

Welcome to the site. I am sure that you will find this a friendly place to come when you need someone to talk to. We are all in the same boat when it comes to emotions and feelings about our health. Just know that no question is to silly to ask and if you need to vent because you are having a bad day, we are here for you. I hope you find this site as helpful to you as it has been for me.0January 2015

Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
