Amy, I noticed that too. The Dr. recommends 8 chemo (AC+T) because of the size of my tumor and my upper intermediate level oncodx score and then I will need to do 6 and 1/2 weeks of radiation (5 and 1/2 whole breast and 1 at site of tumors. Just finishing first week of chemo. Hasn't been so great. Lots of stomach upset even with all the anti nausea stuff. I've just got a tempermental stomach anyway. This makes it so much the worse, but between my husband, sister and Mom, I do have a lot of strong support. I'd really like to get through all this but don't know. Its a long road to hoe.

How are you doing. Don't hesitate to ask if I can be of any support whatsoever to you. Had to believe we are dealing with this.

Hi Amy-I'm sorry you're here, but glad you found this fantastic site! I'm pretty new here myself, but it's like I can feel the love and caring pour out of my tablet. We have all been right where you are at one time or another, so if you have any questions just ask, if we don't have the answers, we can point you in the right direction. For everyone you meet here, you will get 2 shoulders to lean on, 2 ears for 24/7/365 listening and 1 heart for caring. For now I send you love, {{{{{{hugs}}}}}} and prayers.

Hi sounds like we received the same diagnosis. I was diagnosed October 2010. Had 4 chemo rounds, a large lumpectomoy and then followed up with 33 radiation. Not sure of your exact situation, but I don't regret any of it. One thing I would recommend is if you have a port put in for the chemo, do your first chemo right after. They will put the line in for the chemo during surgery and it is less painful then coming in a day or two later and having the chemo techs have to mess with putting in the line and causing you more pain. I had it done that way and you probably feel lousy going from one to the other, but a cousin just had the chemo done the day after surgery and it was painful to have the chemo techs put in the line for the chemo where she had just had surgery. If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Good luck!

Welcome to the site Amy. I think that you will find this to be a pretty friendly and helpful site. You can ask any questions you want because non to silly or dumb. We have all been there done that and some, like you, are still going through it. If you are having a bad day and just want to vent or sound off, this is the place to come. The people here are so encouraging in keeping your spirits up when you are down. I suffer from Bi-Polar disorder and I have more down days than good, but I know I can come here and vent. Everyone on this site is your friend and will help anyway they can. So don't be afraid to ask or vent, I know I will be here for you. No one deserves to go through some tough times without some kind of support and you will find plenty of that here. Good luck in the future and hope all turns out well for you. Your part of the family now.
