Farmgirl, I had neuropathy when I started chemo, just made worse. I'm 73 w/osteoporosis, etc., usual old lady complaints. You are much younger. Have Dr. check your Vit D, lack can contribute to osteoporosis. You have good years ahead. Judy

I know nothing about harvesting eggs but do know a couple that has used surrogates for 3 successfully. The obligations to the surrogate changes by state law . Might check into that.

Where are you now with treatment ? I'm NED right now but diagnosied Stage 2c. Finished chemo in January/73 yrs old. So many of you young ones on this site. Judy

Hi, I just want to say I am sorry for what you are going thru. I am going thru something similar myself. There is much hope for you. First if I may ask, what stage do they think you are at? If it's early they can do what is called fertility preservation. That is what they did with me at the mayo clinic. I had my eggss harvested and had embryos created with my husband. They then went and did the hysterectomy on my and my prognosis is good. The retrieval from what they can tell did not have a negative affect on my prognosis. Hi. I'm a fairly new caregiver to a cancer patient. I'm older than you but I had one child when I was in twenties then for medical reason had to have hysterectomy. Later when harvesting eggs became available I wished it was something I could have done. Saying that you need to weigh your fiananial situation and the cost in time to your health. How long would harvesting take and how far has your cancer professed in that time. Don't know if any of this helps, but thought I would give you my thoughts. Good luck and lots of hugs.
