HI there - I just saw the photo of you, your husband and your dogs on the pinboard and I have to ask: what breed of dog is the black one? It looks a lot like a curly-coated retriever but I couldn't really see the coat that well.

Sorry, random nutty dog lady hijacking your wall posts to talk about dogs. I do love my dog though. Happy to talk dogs any time you get tired of the cancer conversation! LOL

I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering from the ubiquitous "chemo brain" from your interferon treatments. The medical world has only recently acknowledged that these mental side effects are real. I don't know about the longevity of those from interferon. Mine come from a combination of interleukin-2 plus two brain surgeries and one brain radiation. I am in the process of pleading for a mental health (neuropsychological) evaluation, which should be coming soon.

Hi SCL. Welcome to WhatNext. There are a lot of great people here. I notice that you had questions regarding memory & interferon. Unfortunately, I have no experience w/that to help you out, but if you'll repost your question using the question tab at the top of the page, you'll give the network access and I'm sure someone who does have some experience will pop in w/some advice. I'm glad you found us but sorry for the circumstances that led you here. All the best!

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, any questions you may have just post them in the questions tab and everyone will see them there and be able to help you.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
