Greetings, purfekt10. Cute name! Welcome to WhatNext.com.

I'm a fellow ovarian/fallopian tube survivor. I was originally diagnosed in 2013 at stage IV. The initial treatment was rough but I made it through. My life has changed a lot. Since the original diagnosis, I've had two recurrences and am currently undergoing chemo with Avastin and Topotecan. It's not what I envisioned for my life, but I'm still here and always hopeful.

Please take some time to explore this site and check out the links, resources, Pinboard, and questions pages. The information there is great. The rest of us here are also happy to connect and answer your questions about our cancer journeys and how you can navigate the changes to come.

Best of luck! Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi purfekt10, welcome to the site. I came here in 2013 after being diagnosed with stage IIIC ovarian cancer at the age of 66.These cancers are very similar , same cells but different effected sites, and treatment is often the same with ovarian or peritoneal cancer, chemo and surgery. Have read your question and know the frustration that can come from delayed treatment. Towards the end of my chemo I developed low WBC counts and so my final chemo was delayed twice. Please scan the site for helpful information and visit the pin board for a smile. Keep reaching out to other survivors because we are all stronger together. Wishing you better days ahead and happy to talk with you anytime. Take care.
