Hi and welcome, lotto. This is a great place to get information, connect with people who are or have gone through that your family member or friend is going through and can offer insights, suggestions, and sympathy. We "get it".

Thanks and bless you for being a great support person for your loved one - I know my family and friends were a great help to me as I went through my battle with the same type of cancer. Mine was stage IV so I needed a lot of love and support to keep my spirits up and my loved ones were there every step of the way.

You may never know how much your presence and loving support mean, but trust me, they mean the world! Thank you!

    Hello and welcome, lotto!

I'm just stopping by to welcome you to the great WhatNext.com community of people who understand what you're going through. I was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer in October of 2013 and have now completed treatment, chemo, and surgery. I'm in the monitoring phase of this journey. In fact, I had a CT scan last week and am still all clear. Yay!

Cancer is a neverending gift that I wish I could give back!

This is a wonderful place for resources, information, gut checks and more. If you have questions that you're not sure are serious enough for your doctor or medical team, ask them here. We are pretty good about assessing severity and possibly offering answers.

Hang in there. You've got this!

Hi lotto , welcome to the site. I was diagnosed in 2913 with stage IIIC serous ovarian cancer at the age of 66. The most important step after diagnosis, is to find a good gyn/onc to head your medical care. I had two rounds of chemo. ( Taxol/ Carboplatin ) prior to surgery to shrink the tumors, then the debulking surgery, followed by four rounds of chemo after surgery, and have been in remission now for two years, Throughout it all my husband was at my side. Being a caregiver is not an easy task, but I want you to know, it means the world to the survivor. Through the good days and bad, the community on WhatNext were there to help answer my questions, give me the benefit of their experiences, and cheer me on. Please reach out when you need someone to talk to, or the answer to a particular question. This community of caregivers and survivors are all here to help each other. Take care, talk anytime.

After six 28 day cycles of Day 1 I/V infusion, days 2 and 8 I/P infusions...With Neulasta shots upon completion....of each cycle. I then commenced Carbo I/V infusions once a month for 12 months..... Thus on Feb. 23 of this year... I celebrated TEN YEARS CANCER FREE....
