Can you tell me again what exercises you do for strengthening? You told me at one time and I wrote them down and of course I can't find them. I am going to a new physical therapist and wanted to share with him and see if he has heard of them. Thank you.

Greetings! Welcome to the dark side. Mwahahahahaha! Er, I see you've elected to follow me. Thanks! Just remember, I can be a bit sarcastic (just a bit...). But I also try to be as supportive as possible. My humor got me through my treatment -- not stopping now! Hope things are good in your world. And I do like the kitty...

I almost left another time but decided to stay. I get a lot of flack with my sometime Rants so I just toned it down. We are ALL on our Own Journey and that's all we can do. I turned 70 today and have been posting my song "GETTING OLDER SUCKS" ( A Funny and Lighthearted Poke at getting older) These are the words and CAN Post the song IF anybody wants to hear it. I'm up at barrydbutler channel on youtube. We nee Humor to get us through. Hope I don't drive you crazy......

“GETTING OLDER SUCKS” By Barry David Butler
    (Funny Lyric about Getting Older)

Running out of money, life’s not so funny
    I’m almost out of gas
I’m getting older, a little bit bolder
But I can still cut the grass

    But I can’t pee and I can’t see
Can’t hear a thing you’re saying to me
My teeth don’t fit can’t recall a whit
    I’m failing bit by bit

I have sagging skin and a double chin
    Can’t remember where I’ve been
Ah the Golden years……Fraught with many fears

Life’s such a struggle, can’t we just snuggle
    I’m really slowing down
Can’t do much running, Doc says no sunning
Afraid to swim cause I might drown

Can’t fall asleep, I got swollen feet
    And a constant runny nose
Can’t taste a thing, can’t get off my ring
And I have to wear ted hose

Can’t digest my food, I’m in a lousy mood
Can’t fit in to my clothes
Ah the Golden Years…..Fraught with many fears

Watching my reflection gives me indigestion
Don’t like what’s looking back at me
I got hair in crazy places while on my head just empty spaces
    My life’s a bad comedy

My hair’s falling out I got a touch of the gout
    Oh my aching back
Can’t get it up I got my teeth in a cup
I don’t want no heart attack

Got bad gums and I’m living on tums
And I have too much plaque
Ah the golden years……Fraught with many fears

As for your question about how to promote.

First, start with the gofundme site. Look around and they will have a page with tips and ideas on what has worked for others.

    2. The key to getting these going is to get them to go somewhat viral, even if that's just in your circle of friends and relatives. But you need someone else to be the one pushing the links, it works better when someone else is doing it for you, rather than you doing it for yourself, just a quirky thing.

    3. Take that link and get it to everyone on your facebook friends page, ask them to share it, people will donate to a worthy cause if compelled to do so.

    4. Follow up on #3, write a compelling story that has detail and why should anyone donate to you, why are you or your situation special? Think about it from the viewpoint of someone on the street that doesn't know you and might consider dropping you 20.00, what would you tell them?

    5. Repetition, repetition, repetition, just because you sent an email or posted this on your FB page once doesn't mean your done. You have to hammer it and repeat it and keep it going. Again, it's best if some of your friends and relatives will volunteer to be the lead on this.

Hope you do well with it. Let me know how it goes.
PS,, go to our FB page and post it there too, I'll let it stay on the page.

I am so sorry to read that your son is bipolar. Mine is too ... and what a horrid disease, for the person who has it and for anyone who loves them. I think bipolar and addiction go hand in hand, unfortunately. Anyway, I was just sad to read about your son's troubles. I understand far better than I wish I did (my husband is bipolar too but he finally found medications that really help him).

There are not many Hodgkin's survivors participating on this site. Glad to have you. See you are still experiencing some side effects from radiation. Side effects are something I did not anticipate going thru treatment and I am still adjusting to my new me. Take care!

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/hodgkin-disease

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
