Good Morning Brizzjo! Thanks for joining in the conversations and answering a few questions for others and for posting questions of your own. That's what this site is for mainly - to ask questions and get answers so we can have conversations about them. Please continue to ask questions of your own and add your input to other questions, they are both valuable here.

Would you like to write your story out for an article that I post on our blog page about our members? I do WhatNexter of The Week articles that highlight their journey. Don't worry about if you can write it out or not like a writer, we do the editing and make it a good looking piece. All you have to do is answer these questions as you describe what you have been through. Just answer these questions.

How did you find a problem that led you to the doctor which turned into a diagnosis?
    What was your diagnosis?
What kind of treatment was prescribed? Radiation, chemo, both, how many, any surgery, etc?
What has been the most difficult thing to cope with since you started?
What would you say is the low point?
What would you say is a surprising high point, or something good that has come from your diagnosis and journey?
What about the people in your life? Have they helped, stepped up, have your friends pitched in?
What is your current condition and point in treatment?
How have things changed in your life because of cancer?
What is your long term prognosis from your doctor and what are your long term plans for your life?
Lastly, how did you find WhatNext and how has the site helped you through your journey?

If you can write your story out in chronological order while answering these questions I can edit and make it a good article.

Let me know if you have any questions and I hope you can do this for us, it will help lots of people deal with their own diagnosis.

    Thanks for being with us!

I just realized you reached out to me three months ago. Sorry I did not respond. How did your imaging go this January?

Just to let you know that my PET scan was not good. Cancer is progressing and I had 5 new tumors. Next week I'm scheduled for treatment with Brentuximab, which is an immunotherapy drug. I'm guessing that the scalar treatments helped me to stay away from chemo long enough to get my blood counts back to normal. Wishing you well on your journey.

Very interesting--with the pneumonia and pericarditis. My husband has small cell lung cancer, diagnosed in August, 2018. He is now done with chemo and radiation, and now is also on immunotherapy (Tecentriq) every three weeks. Next scans on Jan. 8.

Hi brizzjo, I'm glad that you're here with us and already asking questions. I have all of my fingers and toes crossed that you will find transportation to your doctor. In this day and age, a late-stage diagnosis doesn't have to be a death sentence and it sounds like your doctor is hitting your disease aggressively right out of the gate.

I look forward to getting to know you better ... and keep asking questions, if we can help!

Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started with the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx. Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the database to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall. Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
