Thank you for your feedback on my question. Your answer was heartfelt and expressive and I may very well quote you directly in my book, if that's OK. I would protect the identity of all sources, of course. My original goal was to help breast cancer patients, but I can see that weight struggles are an issue for cancer survivors of many types.
If you have any tips or ideas which have helped you, even short term, please feel free to pass them along, so I can bring as much assistance to my readers as possible. Thanks.0March 2015 -
Thank you seem to know exactly what I feel. What hurts me not only opportunities that were mine being done by others but the others didn't feel it necessary to even tell me about it. I would of been happy and supported them instead chose to not even tell me and let others tell me. I mean like you said kick you when your down one part of it all but leaving me out of the everyday happenings. Even when ask I get brief answers so I've just stopped asking. Happy you have found peace in new job. Hoping my side effects won't prevent me from being able to return to work eventually. Right now there isn't any way with 5 more months of tx with 4 months behind me. Thanks again.0November 2014

I liked what you said about fibromyalgia. I suffer from it as well as cancer. Everyone thinks you are a nut case. It is very real.0October 2014

Hi, I do see 2 oncologists and an ENT regularly, and I never heard of NED before today. I agree about using language that people understand.
I have multiple scans each year-see an oncology dermatologist 4 times a year, my ENT to see if he can find any sign of the cancer coming back up inside my nose or a secondary cancer in between scans, and they just don't say NED. I just don't want to explain things, and with part of my nose and mouth being gone, I don't want more questions -I don't really want any questions. Like my son said--A visible cancer is really different than being able to cover it up with your clothes.0October 2014 -
Dear Alimccalli: thank you for posting to my question re: fibromyalgia. I lived in Renton for one year and Vashon for two years. I see you are in Bothell.
Best of health to you. Katie0September 2014 -

Thank you so much for the information on my wall. It really means a lot to have support from so many out there - sadly, it's not hard to feel very alone in this. Congratulations on being Cancer Free!!!!!0May 2014
