Do you have any late term side affects from the radiation or chemo you had while undergoing treatment for your cancers?

    Hi Outlier,
It's a fitting name! In a great way you are a true 'outlier' with 26 years fighting and living though cancer. I'm glad you include your fight with depression as well, many men will not recognize or admit it that it's real and takes it's toll on you. You are so blessed to have a long marriage with your amazing wife. Its inspiring as well to see devotion in the most difficult of circumstances.

I hope you don't underestimate the power of your inspiration people dealing with Cancer. My family was most fearful that getting the diagnosis of cancer was the worst, and feared death was near even though I was perfectly healthy otherwise, and it was the last thought in my mind that it was going to take my life anytime soon!

I am more fearful or concerned of the long term side effects of the treatment. But after my recent pathology results from my mastectomy and how significantly helpful chemotherapy was to shrink my tumors, I feel better about the treatment. I read, read, read about all of what is recommended for me, the medications, side effects and everything.

It can be frightening to know I'll have long term side effects. But If I can get through this with a strong determined positive attitude, a fighting to be strong for my kids spirit, I will do that with any of the ill effects as well. I will be here to deal with it! I really believe in a strong mindset for yourself and you demonstrate that over and over in your story.

Thank you and bless your heart for sharing and contributing here! Gigi
