Hi there. I read that you are wondering if you should have a radioactive treatment or not. Do your research before coming to a decision. Follow your gut feeling. Papillary thyroid cancer is usually a very slow moving cancer so treatment does not have to be done immediately. Do you have a doctor that has lots of experience with TC? Four years ago I had 2 lymph nodes that were fine needle biopsied and found to have TC cells in them. I chose to wait and watch. They have not changed nor has anymore suspicious nodes been found. I will say it again, follow your gut feeling and do whatever will give you peace of mind. It is your body!!

Welcome KatsPackers. I'm sorry for the circumstances that led you on this journey, but glad you found your way here. There are caring people at WhatNext who are happy to answer any questions you may have, listen to you when you need to vent, offer support and encouragement…whatever you need. Since you just got your diagnosis recently, your emotions are probably still in overload. It's a lot to suddenly take in. Be gentle to yourself during this time. We're here for you.

Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site.
