Thank you for your message! I was studying astronomy, I still plan to finish my master but probably I'll finish it from home. I know I should move on after Mmy RAI treatment, but I just don't feel ready yet. Plus, the regenerating nerves in my neck are giving much trouble with all the weird sensations... By the way, I'm starting the low iodine diet and its my 3rd day and my food sucks! Any advice on how to make it tasty?

I'm new to this site, you are the first person I've seen here so far who has gone thru the same type radiation treatment after going thru the low iodine diet, this is his 3rd time, for some reason this time, really hit us hard. We both have been suffering from stomachs, just so frustrating, he can't get thru one full year w/o any problems....

Hello I have some questions for you. I was diagnosed in 2011 with Stage I Papillary Thyroid Cancer and have a bilateral neck dissection and one round of RAI. I just had my 2 year check up and my scans have been clean and my thyroglobulin dropped this year from last, my endo won't give me any long term plans. What can I expect Thanks

I do not remember what kind I had. I know that I had two different types on the left side of the gland. I had a thyroidectomy and radioactive iodine treatment. I had it as a result of my radiation treatments to my neck and chest area for Hodgkins. Jen

Just for starters I need someone who's gone through this (not the doctors) to encourage me and say it'll be ok. I'm scared, confused, alone and worried. hi, you posted on my wall, i started it for my wife yvonne as she needs the support, she had all her thyroid taken out on november 12th of this yr.. i believe she has the same diagnoses as you but the cancer may have spread a little..she will be doing radiation in about 3-4 weeks, she will be getting an mri this week to see if cancer spread to her muscles, how can i get her email to you so u can correspond, she is sorta shy and unsure about this site but i tell her its good to connect to others that have and are going through this.. she is only 38.. thank you for your concern....tim
