Welcome. Thank you for taking the time to register. I know we have several people on the network with non-small cell lung cancer experience so be sure to read their journeys and when you are ready please do not hesitate to reach out to them.

If you need anything (e.g., emotional support, help finding support/care resources, insights as to what to expect), please be sure to ask the network for help. You can do this by clicking on the "Ask Network" link on your logged in home page or the "Questions" link at the top of this page. When you post needs/questions using our question feature, we route your question to everyone in the network who might be able to help. Also, know you can use the "Update" feature on the site to keep anyone who might be following you on WhatNext up to date.

I look forward learning how we can help. Wishing you and your loved one the best.

Hi Jessica, my name is Bob. I am 71 and was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and throat cancer last April. I have since had six cycles of chemo and finished in September. My tumors were gone. Much to everyone's surprise. I was put on chemo maintenance. So here is hoping and praying. So there is always hope. Just take a day at a time.

The good, the bad, the ugly. Had CT and Bone scans last week. The radiologist's preliminary report is as follows. The good: Latest scan shows shrinkage of mediastinal lymph nodes. The bad: Bones scans show possible lesion on L3 of spine. The ugly: CT shows lesion on my liver. My oncologist will review the actual scans with me on this Thursday. Soooo...All of you prayer warriors out there, I really would appreciate your effectual prayers. My praises still go up!!!!

    Hi Jessica,

I thought that you might be interested in this site: http://cancergrace.org/.
It's main focus is lung cancer. It includes, among other things, a forum that includes input from both patients and thoracic oncologists, and includes information about the latest treatments and clinical trials.

Hope your hubby is holding up okay. If he's still having appetite problems, nutritious smoothies might be helpful. Easy to digest with needed nutrients.

You and he are in my thoughts and prayers. :)
