Just read your post Ruth Anne. I wish I could give you guidance. A gentleman at my clinic shared his story with me. Stage IV for 14 years also living with cancer as chronic illness. He now has chemo weekly. His wife also had breast cancer over this time period, twice, with 2 mastectomies. He had 3 lobectomies. His strategy? His faith, doing for others (he and his wife fostered 10 children in that 14 years - and adopted 2 of them), and trusting his doctors. Not sure if that helps you; not sure if it helps me. I feel like I'm in the midst of it all still and my life will start again - not sure if that is the case and maybe I should rethink that thought. It is a new life after cancer, that is for sure. Sending hopeful and inspiring thoughts your way!
