Greg, about 6 months ago a person edithhitch (I think) ask for my email but I didn't know how to give it without making it public and I think you sent it to her but I never ever heard from her. She said there was a place to exchange email addresses but I don't know where to find it. I will go look at my profile and make sure it is the correct one and I will let you know. Or could you tell me where the exchange e-mail spot it?

I also had a friend sign up and she said she signed up but I and LiveWithCancer cannot find her. I am thinking she might of signed up but not registered if that is possible. She is starting Opdivo and I told her there were people here that is on it. I sent her more directions on signing up and registering. I will go check my email address now.

I wanted to up date you on my diagnosis. When I originally came to you I only knew that they found two masses in my pet scan. I got tangled in the system of trying to communicate with you. I have phenochromocytoma. It is a rare tumor on my adrenal gland. I am having my whole adrenal gland taken out on feb. fifth. The other mass is on my thyroid, that is being biopsyed after my surgery. I do not have cancer. You guys were so caring .I honestly was not trying to misrepresent myself. I got tangled in the computer. I am not computer savvy. At the time I wrote to you I was unsure of my diagnoses and was searching for answers. This has all been a scary and painful ordeal. I hope to be more functional after the surgery. I have literally been stuck in fight or flight mode.Exhausted and wired at the same time. I am very grateful for your support and I send my love and healing wishes to every one there. Everyday that we are here we are champions!

Happy New Year- This wouldn't post on eating

Greg- I had that problem before cancer. My mouth is now stretched out pretty good-so I think that I can eat OK, Whooping Cough didn't help my swallowing any. I did pretty good- I didn't choke or have some bubble that caused food to get stuck and me vomit--

Greg- I'll tell you something else- I started taking lots of antacids 2 days before to try to keep things under control. Also-I find walking actually helps some of the problems.

Hi Greg, I was reading the "Call the oncology clinic on weekends" again.

I know that you were talking about your neurologist, not oncologist, and I sympathize with you. Some people call a Nurse Navigator or their oncologist and all of their logistic problems are solved-instint communication, etc.

I was getting stressed out because a hole was developing in the bone. People can stick a finger in it. It settled down thank god-

Anyway, I went into my PCP for sinus infection that made the whole area really hurt. She saw that I was stressed, and she suggested that I see a certain shrink. I agreed.

By the time I got home, the phone was ringing from that shrink's office. I was told that I would be put on a list to be on a list for an appointment. Expect a call in about 8 months. OK--what else can a person say-and I was still having problems and frazzled.

About 5 months later, I got a call about 5 pm, and said that I had an early morning appointment the next day with Dr. What's Her Name. I asked, "WHO?" and "What does this doctor do? What would I be seeing the doctor for?"

She's a shrink--Your doctor is very concerned about you. Do you have Alzheimer where you can't remember? You really need to get in.

It all clicked- and I was RUDE--I told that nurse that whoever called me 5 months later had said that it would take about 8 months for me to get in at best. That I had a life to live, so I wasn't obsessed by seeing that doctor, so I didn't have her name tattooed on my arm. There wasn't any reason for me to be familiar with the doctor's name- that the hole in the bone quit growing. Just remove me from the patient list, because I didn't need to be around egotistic people that thought the world revolved around them-- The nurse said- I can't tell the doctor that- I said- Tell her Good-bye I'm not seeing her and I hung up.

My PCP asked how it went and I fussed that a person hears a name twice in one day- then doesn't hear the name for 5 months- and they expected me to remember the name? I don't like being given short notice by strangers either-it goes both ways-- So keep repeating the name of the neurologist, so that you aren't like a deer caught in the head lights..
