Terry... I wear a wig and have every day since two weeks into chemo.... Had chemo for two years... hair did not grow in thick enough to wear. Besides being warm a tad in the summer... I love my wigs.

Hi TerryHoward08 ... welcome to this site. It looks like we have the same diagnosis. I have been out of chemo for 11 months, and out of radiation for nearly 8 months. I know how it can be when you are first diagnosed. If you have any questions or concerns, or just need to vent, please post. I have found many here who have been caring, friendly & knowledgeable, and have helped me along the way. I'll be happy to answer any questions that you may have, if I can.

Hi Terry. Welcome to What Next. There are lots of really great people here, and a lot of ladies w/a similar diagnosis. If you have any questions, you'll see a question tab @ the top of the page. By posting there, your question will be available to the entire network, and someone should jump in w/some advice. I'm so glad you found us, but I'm sorry about the circumstances that led you here. Wishing you all the best!

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, any questions you may have just post them in the questions tab and everyone will see them there and be able to help you.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend

I have 10 years on you. I decided I'd reinvent myself in my old age, lose weight, exercise, become that old woman I want to be. Unfortunately my exercise of choice, swimming, was curtailed by when I started to bleed. The cervical polyp that was bleeding was negative. the results of the d/c were not. Hysterectomy showed two lymph nodes in addition to the uterus involved. Port placed last week (insisted on it because I drum) and, with luck, I'll start chemo tomorrow, 3 sessions, radiation 6 or 8 times and then another 3 of chemo if they can get my blood pressure to behave which they are now doing chemically. Can't help but wonder what part of anxiety in a newly diagnosed cancer patient they didn't understand? The support of great friends and family is essential. A good sense of humor (I have an emerald feather wig I intend to wear with pride) doesn't hurt either. Cancer or any other disease is something no one asks for but living well in spite of it is something to be very proud of and I think we all can do that
