i finally went to Univ of TN cancer ctr for surgery 9/13/13 but to answer your question Knoxville Comprehensive Breast Center is not associated with St. Mary's as far as i know. it's a private clinic with 2 surgeons. so far so good with UT. i find out about pathology on sentinel nodes in a few days. Hope your expander issue is getting better...as GregP said, basically, super sucky.0September 2013

haven't picked any doctors yet but i'm wowed by Thompson Cancer Center's website. i think i already posted to you about this but am very tempted to go to Thompson for a consultation based on your amazing success with them. thank you again. oh and i don't know anything more about the tumor except that it's 5mm invasive lobular carcinoma.0August 2013

Wow that is absolutely fantastic! The group sounds fabulous. I couldn't find Dr. Gram's name at Ft. Sanders; the Thompson Ctr sounds amazing tho. Thanks so much for the feedback. And hooray for pulling thru!0August 2013

Hi, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 10/2012 and just before starting chemo and doing more scans, i was told that the cancer had spread to my liver. The original treatment then changed to Taxotere, Hercepin and Perjecta (I go for treatment every third Friday). I am HER2 positive. My oncologist will repeat the scans in March . Just found out this week that cancer is also on my bones...so treatment plan might change gain...will find out this Friday. Keep me posted on what treatment plan your oncologist suggest is best for you. All the best!0February 2013

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, any questions you may have just post them in the questions tab and everyone will see them there and be able to help you.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
