WOW homeschooling your daughter that is awesome! My son was homeschooled for a few years; but, I think he taught me. He now works for a company that teaches people how to use iPhones. When I ask repetitive questions and he gets a bit short I remind him I taught him to use a spoon. LOL

It looks like surgery may be in my future. I have an appointment on 2/2 at Moffitt to go over that possibility. On Thurs I'm meeting with another doctor about a research study. I'll let you know what I know when I know it. Chin up and good luck tomorrow.

Thinking of you and wishing you all the best with your surgery. I should find out today or tomorrow whether surgery may be an option for me too. Kind of strange to be hoping for surgery when it means such a debilitating event, but it also can hold some promise as well. Crossing my fingers for you!

I tried to comment regarding what treatments this week with Thanksgiving.
No treatment this week but will have 2 in the month of Dec and it is playing havoc with my Christmas party plans. Had a CT today that says my Ifos chemo has stabilized the growths in my liver , lungs, and pelvis so I will get the remainder of 4 . My CA125 came down since I started these 2 treatments so that is a positive sign. I have read about your return of symptoms and having to have symptom control with tubes. I stand by your side as you deal with all of this. I am waiting for when the tipping point happens for me. I have had success with Avastin earlier in the yr, but it isn't approved for my diagnosis. No side effects either. I also had it by itself and it didn't work, so I guess it works in combo, but still trying to prove it to whomever???Keeping you in my thoughts.

I am away on a trip (living life as well as I can, as long as I can!) Your news is so awful. So unfair!! I am so sorry. I think of you often...even when I am out of the country. I will pray for an effective trial and for relief from disease in the meantime.

Hello IronMom, I'm sorry your cancer has returned. Have you gotten a second opinion at UofM? I know Karmanos is supposed to be good too, but sometimes just a different perspective on things. Iron Mom..I am so sorry to hear of this latest challenge..Could RFA or Radio Frequency Ablation help you? Do a Google search..or Proton therapy? Have you set up Google search items and sending those y o your Onc. For consideration. .

IronMom45 asked me to let everyone know. Her CT scan showed recurrence. She is seeing the doctor again on Tuesday, is expecting to start chemo again.
