Dear Ms. Walker, Hi! My name is Karen and I live in northern Colorado. I was originally on this site because my best friend was diagnosed with a very rare and very aggressive uterine cancer in early May. She passed away into the arms of Jesus on August 2. I was actually going to discontinue my account here today, but there were a couple of your responses that caught my attention. I was intrigued even further that you live in Santa Fe because I spent the first 15 or so years of my life growing up in SE New Mexico. Anyway, I have some questions for you and wondered if you might be willing to engage with me in a more extended conversation via email. Regardless, may God bless you and strengthen you in the ministry you have and the healing journey you are on. God bless!

I think feeding her by her port would be a good idea. I am sure that the Medical Marijuana is going to cure her.

I won't start radiation for a few months but I liked the advice you gave in helpful tips about affirmations or meditation. Imagining the cancer cells are leaving and creating new healthy cells. I believe you body does what your brain tells it to do.

Hi, reading this about how caring a doctor should be lets me know-that my doctors probably mean it when they say they love me because I'm low maintenance, stable, and logical. They say, "You actually understand what's going on, and that makes it easy for me."

It's sad that people are so provincial that they think that there's uniform care in the US, and if their clinic has it- Gosh darn- every clinic has it.

I bet that my out-patient radiation clinic has a unique feature that many other clinics don't have. It has a kitchen to feed poor patients, and those that are alone. I'm flattered that since my weight didn't go down, they've incorporated some of my recipes. Lots of the feeding is psychological, because patients lost taste, zest for life-so they fix chocolate shakes, because no matter how bad they are, they'll try to consume a chocolate shake. They now ask people if they like sweet pickles, and they'll add sweet pickle relish or pickle juice to something appropriate-like tuna salad, chicken salad---

Another reason they say they like me- is that they say- they love weight lifters, because we understand protein and iron. I'm the second one to go through radiation- we've both managed to do well-not loose weight, realistic about the body and pain-start our own physical therapy-value quality of life. The other weight lifter had stomach cancer. I was told that at one of the get togethers they talked about life styles, and in this area weight lifters get high marks from the oncologists.

I also consider the fact that if there is a kerfuffel, that it might be me that's off, not the doctor. I might be coming down with the flu or something, and that would leave me with an empty anxious feeling.

Thanks for letting me talk about this. I certainly don't want to say more on the "?" about this.

Welcome to the site. I am sure that you will find this a friendly place to come when you need someone to talk to. We are all in the same boat when it comes to emotions and feelings about our health. Just know that no question is to silly to ask and if you need to vent because you are having a bad day, we are here for you. I hope you find this site as helpful to you as it has been for me.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Hi, Hollis. My diagnosis was the same as yours. There are more cases of ductile cancer, so I found it difficult to find information about this form. The Whatnext sit had been a great help. Welcome.
