Don't ever give up rejoicing every new sunrise.. You are your own greatest strength... I welcome every new challenge, SMILE!! goes a long way my friend!!0November 2016

I hope that you're having a good Thanksgiving.
Remember if you don't have a demented relative following you around today, and the nutcase isn't taking picures of your cancer and posting them on Instagram and faceBook with snarky comments, it's a good day.
Remember that if the nutcase is doing this- that nutcase will have almost every virtual friend unfriend them and block them. The rest of the family there for dinner, will take the nitwit's phone-camera away. and give them time out- and not even let them speak
Karma----which is good too.
That actually happened to me after surgery and before treatment.....0November 2016 -
Best to you as you begin treatment. I was diagnosed in 2009 at 48 years old and have had eight TORS surgeries at Tulane New Orleans and several surgeries at MDA Houston to remove SCC Right Tongue. This has provided local control for 7 years. Now I'm consulting with Tulane and MDA on my next surgery to excise an active SCC on tongue/trigone area.
My cousin, Frank, had one surgery 6 years ago and no recurrences of SCC.
Every case is unique so find a cancer team you are comfortable with and follow their lead. Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge has excellent ENT surgeons also. Try to stay close to home so that your family/support team has less stress.
I'll be praying for you. Be hopeful and strong, you can do this !0November 2016 -
