I just joined this online group and I see you have had treatment for over a year. Just wondered how things are going for you.

Hello, I was diagnosed and treated in 2011. I have been cancer-free for 2 years now, although they found thyroid cancer in 2012. But, they have declared me 'cured' of thyroid cancer. Best of luck to you.

Hi, Cat, come on in. I'm stage 2C. Just had 5th chemo on New Years Eve. You can find a lot of real life help here.

Good luck. Remember to take your pain meds before you feel the aches.I took only Ibeprophen and it was enough. I took books, magazines, ipad and a blanket to chemo as it is a long day. Also I packed yogurt it helped my stomach with acid problems.God be with you.

CatMar505, good luck as you begin chemo treatments. So many of us with this cancer get this drug combo, but each of us experiences it differently. So make sure you stay in close contact with your healthcare team, remember that there's no such thing as a dumb question, and if you feel that something isn't right, don't take "no" for an answer. Also remember that there are folks right here to help ease some of the angst. Happy New Year.

We're kind of in the same boat and in the same place, treatment wise. Let's hold hands along the way. : )
