I saw that someone else had recommended that you go to www.thyca.org. I, too, suggest that you do that. Thyca.org is full of information that should help you. Also, you can find person-to-person support as well. If you ask, you will be matched with someone like yourself who has been down the path you are on, or at least similar. Thyca.org deals only with thyroid cancer and not other cancers so that thyca.org site is specific to your needs and questions. Check the thyca website to see if there is a ThyCa support group near you. It will be very beneficial. I, too, will chat with you via private e-mail if you would like to do so. Not everyone receives their RAI treatment after surgery at an exact time. It will vary. You are not alone in your journey. Hugs!

You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, any questions you may have just post them in the questions tab and everyone will see them there and be able to help you.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
