Hi tpullen621 - hope all is still well with your dad and the best to you and your family.

My sister has not had the HIPEC treatment but I had read about it. Recently she got a g-tube and is on clear liquids - has not been able to get chemo. She has asked me to quit texting and emailing her help- so I will have to get her son involved. She feels like she is a failure, I am supposing but all I have ever wanted to do is help her. I've encouraged her to find support groups but she is not into computers....Does anyone know an appendix expert in Pittsburgh, PA?

Hi. I have appendix cancer. I was given two months to live... ten years ago. Dr. Andrew Lowy at UC San Diego is one of the foremost experts in this disease. He is a surgeon and researcher. He has done both of my surgeries and HIPEC. He and his nurse are wonderful people who want to give everyone a chance. If you need more information or help, please let me know.

Good news he got in. We hope the treatments and procedures go smooth. Let us know how you and he are, and please ask any questions you may have, someone is always available to answer.
