Hi Timbuktu. Welcome to What Next. There are lots of great people here. If you have questions, please use the question tab above -- that way the entire network will have ready access & you'll get a quicker response. I see you are new to your diagnosis and things may be whirling. I was diagnosed w/Stage IV endometrial cancer in July 2012. Made it through hysterectomy & chemo -- my last chemo was a year ago this coming Tuesday (1/21); didn't need radiation. I'm currently NED (no evidence of disease). If someone as big a wuss as I am can do this, I'm certain you can, too. I'm really glad you found us but sorry for the circumstances that led you here. WIshing you all the best.

I wish you well in your search for medical care. I was referred to a doctor who is a part of a cancer center. The focus is cancer. The support from the center has been great. I've only been to hospitals for surgery, but I can tell the difference between the hospital and the knowledge of the staff at the center.

Yes, it is a scary time, all of us remember it well. All of us have come a "long way baby" and you will too. Remember, there are many choices out there and keep that in your mind... It gives you comfort and despair at the same time. Follow your gut and put your questions out here to help reassure you with additional information. I was diagnosed Stage IV b Nov 2012, completed chemo April 2013 No evidence of disease (NED) now. We are survivors on a continuum!!

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. You can help by answering a few questions. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
