It was very uncomfortable for me in the FB anal chat. There was dogma being pushed at me to which I do not particularly prescribe. There was a lot of chatter about HPV causation which I do not personally believe. I was asked to leave the group. Apparently the group is not for everyone, despite a singular commonality. It was impossible to communicate unless I swallowed and accepted everything the group had to say. For me, it was neither safe nor supportive. Best wishes, Sally. That was my Mom's name too.

Thanks for supporting others by answering questions, offering advice and positive wishes! It does make a difference for them to see that other people have been there and are doing OK.

You mention a female group only for anal cancer. Can you please put me in touch to join? Thank you.

thank you for your kindness. I am not new to cancer. I had breast cancer 12 years ago. I don't know why but I just am shocked again with this diagnosis. I had a meltdown last night of crying and being very angry and hurt. Today is better. I see my oncologist next Tuesday for my plan of action. I'm trying to get a grip and get ready for what I know is coming. thanks again.
