Haven't had chemo since Feb. 2016. Just about two days ago had another Mri which I was told no cancer, however I am experiencing joint pain in my wrists , shoulders, and knee, I was told that it was arthritis in wrist and knee. . But I too feel like I have RA , or the cancer is back in my joints. I go to Onogolist on the 23rd , ( which will be first meeting with him, because I moved to another state) should I asked to be tested for Lyme disease?

Went to my oncologist today. She does treat the side effects. I told her about this question and she asked me where do you live? She told me that here in Texas you can get breast cancer Medicaid. To help me with the lack of motivation she prescribed Ritalin. Since my GP does not agree she will continue writing the prescription. I knew she cared and it was shown today when she was upset at how many do not have doctors that treat the side effects.

I hope you are doing better. I wish you lived close to Houston, Texas. There is one oncologist I KNOW who helps the whole person to have a better life.

There is a test they can run on the tissue from the breast that was removed to diagnose if I will need to continue for 10 years or if I can stop hormone therapy after 5 years. Will let you know what I find out.

    HUGS!!!!!

Moon Maiden-- has anyone checked your thyriod-TSH? Some of the major symptoms are FATIGUE-DEPRESSION-SLEEPING POORLY, not necessarily insomia, but keep waking up and going back to sleep. Go in to your familiy dr or primary care and ask about your thyriod- It is very common condition and is considered the most under-diagnosed disease in America. The therapy is very cheap, simple, and easy. Doctors keep thinking that someone else should have run a thyriod screen.

Maybe this will help. I just wish you good luck- take care-- Let me know if this helps---

Dear moonmaiden, please read this article. It deals with PTSD in cancer survivors. Your story a few days ago, really touched me. I know what you are going through.

Have you ever been to breastcancer.org ? The forums and people were the greatest help for me. I didn't have anyone that I could really talk to but they were there for me.
God bless you & be with you.

Hi Moonmaiden, please check out psh.org.au. I've just posted a response to your question but forgot to include this link. I believe there is another way that can break the cycle. Let me know if you want more information.
