Hi. I'm also in MA. My husband was diagnosed in June with esophageal cancer that metastasized to the bones. He has no esophageal symptoms but really reacted to the endless bone pain. "Just a pulled muscle" I heard for months! He just turned 56. No surgery is planned. currently dealing with partial paralysis due to tumors pressing on his spine. the battles never end. radiation done but chemo just started. He ate a slice of pizza today. hooray. just looking for support and others who want ot share.

Thanks for responding. I have wonderful support from family and friends. It is kind of a weird position to be in. Not used to people just giving me money, food, time. My 3 daughters have been amazing.they are all in their 20s and one just got engaged last week. My mother and mother in law are the difficult ones. I can't blame them. They have their own struggles at 85 and 87. They feel helpless. How is your husband doing? What surgery was done? Are you working? I am still working which is also difficult although my job is 2 minutes from my home and has been so kind and supportive. Thinking of you and sending positive energy your way.

Welcome loiswood - so sorry you need to be here. My husband has esophageal cancer and has been fighting for 27 months now. He did not have surgery since it had already spread to other areas. He has had lots of chemo, radiation and more chemo.. He continues to fight and is doing pretty well. Is there a question I can answer for you? God Bless.
