Hi - Glad you liked the clip! I found another book - "Your Brain After Chemo", by Dan Silverman, MD. It helped me! The mind is a wonderful and amazing thing - I've read of stories of people who had some kind of brain trauma (like an accident, or war, etc.), different parts of the brain would "step up" to take over some of the functioning of the damaged area. I'd like to encourage you to explore different areas where you can "bypass" the chemo effects - to a certain degree. I happen to be musical, and also design/make jewelry. I find that once I concentrate on something, that because my emotions are engaged, the chemo-brain seems to lessen. I also taught myself to juggle - to help hand/eye coordination; I also took a class in Tai Chi, which really helps with balance and concentration. Obstacles always arise in life, but I think of them as something like a puzzle - to work around, not to stop me. Have fun!

Looks like we've exchanged follows! I'll try to keep entertaining. My coworkers consider me comic relief...

I read your answer on depression. Are we twins separated at birth and by a few years? I also have a warped sense of humor. Sarcasm is me! Lol...

katds, I hope everything goes well for you. I was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma ten years ago at age 60, currently not in remission on watch and wait. Since being diagnosed, I've done all kinds of things including a mission trip to Armenia.

Hello my friend! I too have been diagnosed with Follicular NHL - I was diagnosed last summer after noticing a number of enlarged lymph nodes in my neck. Since I thought I was in remission from Large Diffuse B-cell NHL (diagnosed and treated 3 years before) this was quite upsetting. Seems my NHL has "morphed" now into follicular. So after an initial 3 month treatment with Rituxan I am also on watch and wait. As a matter of fact I am sitting in the waiting room of Georgetown Univ Hosp in Wash DC waiting to be called back to see my oncologist for my regular 3-month checkup. I go thru anxiety every time. A very good website to review for Follicular NHL is lymphomasurvival.com. Stay well my friend and let us know how you are doing!
