    Karen,
I'll be thinking and praying for you on Monday. I hope they can find something that will work within the genetics of the tumor. It sounds like there are some things out there that have worked for some - what little I have read or can find on some of the treatments.
It's so good you have a sarcoma specialist to work with. I hear that's the best way to go.

I'm glad you are feeling Ok through all of this - at least physically. I know that mentally this diagnosis can be crippling. My hardest obstacle is waking up every day and facing this. I have two wonderful and beautiful daughters in college and a good husband and can't imagine them not having a mom around to see them grow. I just can't figure out how to function in the normal world anymore. I have read what I can find about this cancer, but can't seem to find current survivors or current information - it just looks so scary. Maybe I shouldn't be reading too much??

I also know what you mean and the insurance, testing and doctor's appts. What little I have been through so far shows me just a taste of what is ahead. But if that's what is needed to get rid of this cancer then that's what we need to do.

Good luck on Monday. I pray that you will be strong through the procedure and will recover well... then while you are recovering the docs can go to work to figure out a treatment. I just keep thinking of my friend who went through LMS in her leg. It was a long journey of surgeries, chemo, radiation, but she made it after 10 years. I understand hitting the 5-year mark is a good thing. I think you hit that milestone right? It's just a matter of finding the best treatment to kill those lung tumors! It can be done!

Please keep me posted as to how you are doing.

Hi Karen, Have you received the results from the scan yet? I hope it will be good news. Please let me know how you are doing. You seem strong to go through all the treatments you've received so far and it's encouraging that they keep looking for ways to squash the tumors. How have you been feeling through all your treatments. Do you find you can carry on your normal routines as much as possible through it all?

I met with my onc. for a second opinion and will go back next week to establish myself as his patient. I had a CT scan and so far the cancer has not spread outside of my uterus. Thankful for that so far. I will be observed every three months and hope for the best. It seems like a relentless cancer. I'm so scared what the future will hold.

Please keep me posted as to your progress. I'm praying for you and others like us facing this challenge. I hope they find something to knock this out of you.

    Hi Karen,

Keep your faith duing your treatments. I hope they find something soon to shrink that large tumor and all the others too. It can be done.

It's so unreal how rare this cancer is and no one really seems to know how to treat it. Do you have a good support system ... family, friends? I'm glad you are able to work through your treatments - that has to help a little.

I just had my first oncology visit yesterday and was told that my cancer did not spread from the original site, but that there is a 50% chance it will come back. I can either do chemo now or just wait and get scanned every 3 months to see if it comes back. They said there is no evidence that doing chemo will keep it away. Is that what you were told when you were first diagnosed?

We are too young for this and we can beat this!
