Hey jptucker,
I just ready your journey and wanted to say hi.
It looks like we have a bit different treatment plan as far as timing, but will ultimately be going thru the same things.
I was also diagnosed on 4/22, but went thru all my surgeries first, with the last one being a bilateral mastectomy on 5/22 - which I know you said you will be doing in september. My right breast was clear, but the left had 5 tumors, 2 DCIS and 3 invasive (possibly 2, they can't verify if the tumors were the same one because they were taken during different surgeries). 25 lymph nodes removed, 2 cancerous.
I just started chemo yesterday. Had the neulesta shot today and have heard about this claritin thing to decrease bone pain. How/When did you take this?
Hope things are going well for you!0June 2013 -
How are you feeling today? It's been almost a week since my last chemo. I'm starting to feel a bit more energetic but nothing tastes good. I drink a lot of water to hydrate & some ginger ale & eat ginger candies to help settle my stomach. Also, my friend sent me Biotene after hearing about the mouth sores & it is wonderful to have.0June 2013
