There are many targeted treatments avilable and more in the pipeline, My RCC was being treated as a chronic condition for 4+ years.

I was diagnosed with stag IV RCC in just 5 years ago. It is now considered dormant. I started my treatment with sutent, which work for about 6 months, i was then switched to Afinitor in April 2010 - the drug was a miracle for me. It shrunk all my small lesions (about 5) and reduced the two larger ones -

I was diagnosed with the same, non-hodgkins III when I was 67 yo. That was three years ago. I had successful R-CHOP treatment and have been in remission and loving my life since then.
