@dflem94268, I just saw the message about you registering for HOPE Summit. I don't get how the wall works too well ... anyway ... YEA!!! I am so glad you are going to come. I think you will find it uplifting and enlightening.
Have you heard back about your grant yet?? We will have to get together.
If you will, send me an email at livewithcancer2015 @ gmail.com so we can make plans to meet up.0April 2016 -
Hi dflem94268. Welcome to WhatNext! We are glad you found us.
You are already sharing great advice with us ... I am going to try your hydrating spray. I have always been plagued by dry skin. Drives me nuts!! Is there a certain amount of water you use?
Looking forward to getting to know you better! I have a similar diagnosis to yours, except I am not EGFR positive. I have enough getting Opdivo treatments for the last nearly 3 years to hold my cancer at bay. Know quite a few people who have used Tarceva with excellent results!!
If you are interested, there is a LUNGevity HOPE Summit coming next month in DC. First time attendees can get a travel grant, if needed. I went for the first time last year. It is nice to see a room full of lung cancer survivors and I have made some really good friends, too. I am sorry I can't provide a link right now but if you're interested, you can do a search for LUNGevity HOPE Summit.0March 2016 -

Hi drlem. Welcome to What Next. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
I also look forward to getting to know you.
I have stag IV small cell adenocarcinoma with mets to the brain (one tumor is still there) and the spine. Had radiation for the mets and currently on chemo.
I wish you the best.0March 2016 -
Hello and welcome, we are sorry for your diagnosis, but we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.
https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/lung-cancer
There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx. Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the database to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall. Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
