Welcome Beewee! sorry for your diagnosis. As you have heard, this is a great place for support and advice. Like you, I'm triple positive, also stage one, did lumpectomy, chemo and radiation and now started Tomoxifen and doing IV herceptin every 3 weeks till June. Hair and energy have returned. This is scary but I'm here to let you know it is doable! Be well and keep us posted on your journey

Hi there in NM. Thanks for the follow. You have really come to the right place here. Everyone is so informative and nice. I was not her2+ but it is doable. I found the best thing for me was to be proactive and learn all I could. It is reassuring in the long run to be on top of things. Hope the best for you and yours.

Hello...you will find lots of great information, experiences and support here...please let us know how we can help...when you fill in your experiences so far it will help us answer your concerns better...since you are newly diagnosed I would encourage you to try to bring someone with you to your appointments as there is so much discussed that an extra set of ears is always a good thing...I would also recommend getting a loose leaf binder that you can divide into sections (I had section for surgery, another for oncology, radiation, phone numbers, work-related paperwork for FMLA and Leave of absence, etc)...it is helpful to have all your papers in one place...my last suggestion is to remember to BREATHE...we understand how terrifying the first few days and weeks can be, but now you have us! Sending along best wishes and a sincere welcome.

Glad you found this site! Read the book,"The Breast Reconstruction Guidebook" 3rd ed. by Kathy Steligo. It really helps you through the surgery before, during and after and goes over all the diff. ways of surgery that could be done for reconstruction. Ask questions of the doctors and nurses, they are helpful and here on this site. Don't be afraid to even go to another doctor and see what they say if you can. It's your body and your life! Thoughts and prayers, Lynn

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
