Hi Julieann. Just wanted to check in and see if there was any confirmation on your pathology as to whether your tumor is an oligodendroglioma, Anaplastic Astrocytoma, or a combination of both like I have. Are you taking Temodar and doing radiation? Temodar is my pharmaceutical hero. LOL If you are taking it, I recommend taking it with clear soda like Sprite or 7-Up. I have found it is easier to take that way than with water. It covers up some of that nasty chemical taste as the pills go down.0October 2013

Hi Neighbor! I'm in Columbus as well. Welcome to What Next. As you've already seen, there are lots of great people here. If you have any questions, please use the question tab above -- that way the entire network will have access & you'll get a quicker response. I notice you're considering hospitals. Even though I'm here, too, I actually ended up w/Riverside instead of the James. For me, it was I started out there and felt comfortable w/the surgeon. Before I met him, I sat there thinking "I need a 2nd opinion w/the big guns". But I met my surgeon, he said "It's nice to met you; I'm sorry you're here". At that point, I knew I had my team. I hope you find the perfect team for you, as well. And I do understand that what you have probably needs a more specialized team that what I have. Wishing you all the best.0August 2013

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
You may also find our "Beginner's Guide To Cancer" page helpful Click Here for that=> http://bit.ly/10BQKCi
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site.
