Hi Joankzk1. I am the same age with Stage 1 IDC cancer and live not too far from you. Where are you going for treatment? Just curious about your experience given our similarities...

Wonderful! Don't you just hate the waiting? Seems every time we turn around we are waiting for results of something. Guess we should be glad we can wait! No onco for me. I was node positive, and ER & PR positive. I think you have to be node negative for that test to be used. Something like that. I can never keep it straight. Well, I'm glad to hear from you and you are keeping up with everything they ask. Have a wonderful week and let me know how the test comes out.

Hey there, just checking in. What were the results of your onco test? Have you started chemo? I just had #2 on Monday. Doing alright so far but I know I have a long road ahead. Feeling a little nauseous for a few days and lightheaded comes and goes. I don't know if it is the neulasta shot the next day or the chemo that is making me have these side effects.
OK, hope you are feeling well and in high spirits!

Hiya, was just wondering how you were. You are in treatment, correct? Any venting you would like to do? Hope all is well and this finds you in high spirits.

Welcome to the site. I think that you will find this a friendly place to come when you need to sound off or vent from anger. We are all here to listen and help, if we can, because at some point and time in each of our lives we have been in your situation. Please don't be afraid to ask questions either. No question on this site is silly or dumb. We all have questions we would like other opinions on or answers to. There are so many nice people here that it has helped me get through my fears I had when I was DX'd with DCIS. Good luck in the future.

    Hi joankzk1
My first experience with breast cancer was 11 yrs ago. I had a lumpectomy but they didn't get clean margins( there were 2 tumors and cancer cells left) so I went for a mastectomy. I got 4 rounds of chemo-Cytoxan, Adriamycin, and 5-FU. I then went on Tamoxifen for 5 yrs. Cancer free till now.

Yes, leisure forms are foam forms. I wore a D cup before surgery and decided to go as small as possible but still look natural with the leisure forms and no one noticed a change (unless they really tried to figure it out). It's great to be smaller and lightweight!

Diagnosed 2 months ago and they still have not started treatment. I would be looking for different doctors, if I were in your shoes. How can they let this go that long? Please get a second opinion and quickly. This is nothing to wait around on. In the meantime, welcome to the site. Hi there joankzk1,
I am fairly new here also. You wouldn't know it by how many "goodwills" I have but I find this site great for asking questions and learning from others experiences. I am in Daytona, so, hi neighbor. Looks like we got the news about the same time. I don't start my chemo til the 20th. Hope you are doing well with treatment and please keep us posted as to anything you may be able to post to help with the rest of us.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

You may also find our "Beginner's Guide To Cancer" page helpful Click Here for that=> http://bit.ly/10BQKCi

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site.
