Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Your experience as a survivor is valuable to those who are just starting their journey, please look through the questions to see if you can help and also Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

    Hi Janewest,
Please feel free to contact me if you need any additional information. Recovery from surgery (Da Vinci robotic) was quick for me. May the same be true for you.

jane, thank you for the insight about pathology reports! as a newbie i thot you could only interpret the biopsy one way: the way it is. i did ask the 1st doctor to have his pathologist order the biopsy slides from the institution which did the biopsy so s/he could actually eyeball them rather than look at a piece of paper or photos of the slides. so maybe that will help clarify. i think it required some out of pocket expense but should be worth it. you really have to learn fast in this game! by the way i'm from Portland, OR, originally but moved to the east coast over 36 years ago. we may move back to the NW if i get thru this that is.

Hi! I was treated for my uterine cancer by Dr Rushing at Compass Oncology (formerly NW Cancer Specialists) on 136th & Mill Plain in Vancouver, WA. The best Dr! He did my surgery with the da Vinci robot and also biopsied 13 lymph nodes, found cancer cells in 2. Had chemo port installed by him, and started chemo 2 days later. My chemo nurse was Terrie Pettit. Everyone at Compass Oncology was the best, just wish I could find that type of quality place in Long Beach, CA. Good luck!
