I just found the rest of your posts...I'm sorry that I got the blurred vision side effect so quickly and did not work for you. Thank you for being so generous with your story!

Hi, innadoon. I saw that you went through a clinical trial with the MEK162 drug. I am currently taking that drug through Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, and having a pretty rough time with it. They said the side effects would not be as bad as standard chemo, but I disagree. The only benefit is that it is an oral drug, but the fact that it is constant without any breaks has caused me to start being overwhelmed. I would love to hear your experience, since I do not know anyone else who has taken this drug. For me, I have just had about every side effect, and the GI side effects have been HORRIBLE. Thanks.

    Hi innadoon,

It's me again... Unfortunately I got bad news today. I won't be able to participate in the MILO study because I have a stomach probe and they say that my body won't be able to absorb the medication.

Last time you wrote that there are other MEK's on trial and I was wondering if you knew if any of these are given through the veines?
I'm really disappointed because I had lot's of hope regarding this study and have no idea what to do now.

If you - or anyone else - has any suggestions, I will be happy to hear about them

    Hope you are well!

    Regards tinina

    Dear innadoon!

Searching for some imformation on the MILO study, I finally found your profile here. I also have ovarian cancer and have had various treatments with little success. My doctor here in Germany has been telling me about the MILO trial for a year now and he thinks it would be a good option for me. Unfortunately it still hasn't started here in Germany. It did however in Austria and I might have the possibility to be treated there.
Anyways, I was wondering if you could telle a bit more about the study. I've read about your eye problems and that you finally had to quit. What other side effects could there be? Do you know of other patients that are still in the trial?
I would be really happy about any information that you could provide.

I hope you are doing ok!

    Regards tinina
