Where are you receiving treatment? I am in south Florida too.0January 2014

I wanted to update you on my side effects from the Doxil. I now have a rash on my torso under my arms, on my upper arms, both hands and under my breasts. It is horrible! Doctor prescribed a cream X-Viate (40 percent urea). It helps some and we had a cool front and that helps too. I will probably have to delay treatment this week as my oncologist wants me to have more time to heal up. I also had hip surgery last Thursday so I am not getting around too well. Keep me posted and remember it may be that you won't get the bad side effects until after your third or fourth infusion. Good luck!0September 2013

I had me first dose of Doxil 3-1/2 months ago (3 doses). At first, the only side effect I had was the sore mouth. However, now I have developed a really bad skin rash n my upper arms and torso. It's very painful - clothes even hurt! My doc prescribed X-viable cream - 40 percent. It helps for a while but I can only use it twice per day. He told me that this kind of skin irritation usually occurs where the body gets the warmest. I live in Texas and its been really hot. Hopefully, cooler weather will being me relief. Keep me posted on how you are doing....Arlene0September 2013

Hi! Thanks for your answer about sleeping all the time. I was active too & staring out the window gets old! Nice to know that I am not alone. Sounds like we are making headway in our journeys & we will beat this!0May 2013

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
