Hello! My name is Melissa, and I have completed 2 of my 6 rounds of chemo. I was wondering if you have plans to try to have children since you are finishing up your active treatment. My husband and I would like to look at this option when I am done, but it is difficult to find women young enough to have this concern. Thanks!

Regarding your question on peoples "You look Great" comments.... I did chemo for two years.... That's a long time to be bald, to have people's tongues trip over the appropriate words. I simply smiled and said thank you. I told them I was a fighter and "GOD WILLING" I'd keep fighting to stay with my husband. I'd taken so long to find him, 30 years just isn't long enough. God blessed me with removing the cancer... those hard drugs really work. Its now 5 years from my last day of chemo. My hair didn't grow back enougu to actually wear.... Friends now share with me how badly I looked while fighting... I am grateful for their honesty... I love my wigs - they give me versitility of hairstyles and shades of blonde. My own is white... and as my beloved Mother in law once said. Why not color your hair... why look older if you don't have to... May she rest in peace. Here's to having friends that risk tying the tongues in knots, hoping to cheer us up.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, any questions you may have just post them in the questions tab and everyone will see them there and be able to help you.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

You may also find our "Beginner's Guide To Cancer" page helpful Click Here for that=> http://bit.ly/10BQKCi

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
