My sister-in-law has a rare form of Leukemia. She is now ten years beyond her "expiration date"0April 2014

I have APL. I was diagnosed 12-13-2012 and in remission 1-8-2013 after 23 days inpatient. My last ATO was 8-2-2013 and ATRA 8-18-2013. I have not had a fatigue issue since earlier in my chemo, but being retired doesn't require me to face working every day. I am in a study at MD Anderson in Houston, and a surveillance bone marrow aspiration in November shows me still in remission. Would love to hear more from you. Somehow I didn't find another APL patient when I was struggling with chemo and felt so alone except for my wonderful husband. Nice meet you.0December 2013

My heart goes out to you. I hope all goes well. I stay happy after listening to my "church songs" and other favorite songs, my grandmother once sang when she did her daily chores. You Tube has every song I've looked up. I transfer these to my Mp3 Mp4 player and take the player to treatment with me. Each morning after I talk to God, I play uplifting songs. I'm not the quintessential religious person, but God has brought me my knees once before. If you don't mind, go to You Tube, a listen to a song titled "BROKEN' by Shekinah Glory Ministries. It's about a person who is distraught and doesn't know where to turn. At the end God says "I've got you just where I want you, now it's just You and Me, now there's a lot that you can do for me, now that you're broken." I concentrate on being a living testimony.0April 2014

Hi Tinnieval, Sorry I am just responding to you now, 3 days later. I did not get fibromyalgia from the cancer or from the treatments. I have been dealing with it for about 30 years. They didn't even know what it was back then. It is better on some days than others but I had to stop working because of the bad days . They are coming out with new meds all the time so hang in there. Best of luck to you......:)0October 2013
