    Hey, TinaLeigh,
How are you feeling this week? I can't find our previous posts, but I've had a sore throat for over a week.

I've ben concerned about you, and wanted to see how you feel this week. Take care.

    Hey, TinaLeigh!
I just wanted to say Hi and see if you were feeling better tonight. I don't want to be a nag, but I guarantee you will feel better if you make even one of the calls we talked about, especially to your Primary Care doctor to talk about treating depression, so you can move forward and be happy again.

You're too young to give up, so make one call every day just to move forward a little. . . .

I don't agree with you on this. Kill the cancer cells but then repair your body so it can deal with any remaining cancer as it KNOWS HOW TO do on a daily basis. Don't take that attitude that there is nothing YOU can do.....you're wrong. Check out the book Radical Remission by Kelly Turner PHD.....also a great site is Chris Beat Cancer and look up Ty Bollinger......Look up on PubMed things like curcumin. and reishi mushroom extract, IP6, 20 mg of melatonin, green tea extract and others. THEY ALL help the immune system deal with cancer......Check it out....YOU can have some power in this and it's important to use it. Just my Opinion but I've done thousands of hours of study and thought.

I've been fortunate in that I chose a hospital that has a cancer team. At my very first appointment they gave a whole folder of information, including a who's who list and services available. Definitely ask your oncologist and call your hospital and ask for a social worker. The social worker stopped by to see me on almost every dr. appt or chemo session. (Maybe I was 'flagged' because I went alone or maybe they visit everyone.) Amer Cancer Soc. has resources but you have to contact them.

Early in the process I started a notebook and collected every scrap of info and also made a list of help available. There's everything from rides to 'Cleaning for a Cause.'

I also went to the Look Good program and was also disappointed - it dealt only with putting on makeup -- I wanted tips on skin care, tying scarves, wigs, loosing nails but... I ended up getting some of that info online.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us.Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

You may also find our "Beginner's Guide To Cancer" page helpful Click Here for that=> http://bit.ly/10BQKCi

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
