Hi, could you just not participate, instead of quitting? See if the rest of us can figure out how to refigure WhatNext? I understand how you feel--several WhatNexters thought that I kicked the bucket, because I just wasn't up to participating.
We appreciate your care and friendship.0July 2021 -
Hi, Teachertina. I saw your response to thewho ("pet scan, slight glow" question). I'm sorry to hear that a suspicious area showed up on your scan. I hope it turns out not to be serious. Good luck with the check-up in March. Please let us know how things go. Thinking of you.0January 2021

Hi Teach! We would like to feature you in one of our "WhatNexter of The Week" articles. Are you up for that? It's pretty simple, we just ask you to write out your story like you would if you were sitting at a table talking to a friend. We have found that if you cover these points while talking about it, you will end up with a compelling and inspirational piece. Just answer, or talk about these points:
How did you find that you had a problem in the first place?
What was the diagnosis?
What was the stage, and particulars about the Dx?
Talk about your life at the time and how this diagnosis was a shock to you and the family and how it changed things initially.
What was the treatment plan?
What were some of the hardest parts?
What setbacks did you have?
What were some of the surprising things?
How has the family life changed at this point?
Have you had any help from friends/relatives?
I know you've had 3 rounds with it, talk about how it hits you when you think you are done and then find out you have a recurrence.
(I know that feeling)
What is your prognosis now?
Then sort of wrap it up with something about your current situation, still in treatments, maintenance, and prognosis. Also, a paragraph about how you found WhatNext and how the site has helped you through this stage in this.
Let me know if you have any questions greg @ whatnext . com
I look forward to hearing from you.0September 2019 -

Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started with the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx. Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the database to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site.
