For some reason this won't post on your question
I now order masks in bulk from China on Ebay. Last year I was picking up my meds, so I would have a chance to heal after a combination colonoscopy-endoscopy and not worry about refills. A woman walked by and coughed on me--She was upset, and her man told her not to worry.

A little over 2 weeks later, I woke up from the scoping with a high fever, wacky blood pressure, throat sort of paralyzed, voice gone, splitting head ache, swallowing problems, great weakness that got worse over the days. At first, they thought that I had a stroke-and there were all the tests and charges for that. I was living at ERs, Urgent Care, at specialists, speech pathologist, and the Primary Care system. Finally, after months and months- it dawned on a doctor that I had Whooping Cough and I wasn't mentally ill. I was asked if I was around children-I said-NO-People-even doctors forget that adults can get and spread childhood diseases.

One reason I'm glad that I'm at the new clinic is that the check in at the old clinic was shared with the pulmonary clinic-and those patients cough and have lung diseases. I complained about that. Here I was told that because of the cancer and radiation in my nose that I could easily catch some disease, and the clinic had me stand in a long line with coughing contagious people. I felt different about check-in at Urgent and Primary than I did at the cancer clinic, as the cancer clinic was supposed to be specialized for cancer patients. I was outraged about that.

I don't and didn't have the flu, but a bacterial infection in my nose, sinuses, throat, and eyes. I was given two antibiotics immediately. I think that it was from me vacuuming and cleaning the rollers without wearing a mask and being very tired from caring for Stonewall. I was actually warned about dust from cat boxes, etc. by oncology radiology. I don't have a cat--but I didn't listen to them about vacuuming. One side of my face turned red-purple and swelled up like I had been hit in the face a few times. I was still sick after 2 weeks of antibiotics, so I went back and got a really stronger type of antibiotic.
