Hello! We hope you're doing well. We have a partner that is looking for people that would be willing to share their experience with prostate cancer with others. They are looking for people that would like to help others by sharing their story speaking to groups of people about it. Others that have had this opportunity report that they thoroughly enjoy it.

If you think this is something you would like to do, just click this link>> https://www.research.net/r/BMWXTJL , and answer a few questions to see if you would qualify for this.

If you have any questions, you can email me at greg @ whatnext . com as always, thanks for being with us here at WhatNext!

Good news no tumor. Infection again . Stayed for 3 days in hospital Will be on antibiotics for a long period of time.
Lymphdemia in jaw feels better. Closing mouth with less pain. Antibiotics are working. I know using to many antibiotics are not good for you but have no choice. Raked leaves the day after getting out of hospital. Going to Pats game Sunday. Going to just go on with life. Can't change whats is going on. You know what I mean.

The doctor called me this morning to find out how I was doing. Told him my face was getting sore and puffy. He wanted to see me. I drove to Boston and was admitted to the hospital. They just did a MRI to see if the tumor came back or if it is an infection.
    Bored but thinking positive.

Do you have lymphoma on the side of your face that the bone was put in.
    It's from radiation.
If so does it bother you?
It drives me nuts. Pain to touch and feels as though there is something in my mouth all the time.

Glad to hear you are doing well. I had a tooth pulled and the wound would not heal. After 9 months and many antibiotics I contacted Mass. General Hospital. I saw a Dr there for 3 months every week. He said he thought I had osteonacrossis He did many biopsies and the results would come back with 3 pathologist saying it was an infection and one saying it was cancer. I could feel my condition getting worse. Finally I was sent to MEEI cancer unit. I feel I should have been sent to MEEI sooner. I saw a group of Doctors that day. They had one look at it and said I had cancer.
They admitted me and did a deep biopsy and confer need the cancer.
I had a tumor. Stage 4. A bone was taken from my leg and with a titanium plate was inserted in my jaw. I was walking in 3 weeks. I had radiation and had no side effects during the treatments. I was told about all the side effects but I did not get them. Two weeks after radiation I started to get sores in my mouth but never lost my saliva. Eating was awful. It has been 1/12 years since my surgery. The problem I have is the wound from the operation has never healed. That has been awful with the dripping from the wound. I have been to the hospital on and off for infections and many many antibiotics. The doctors believe it is the plate and the radiation that is giving me problems.
The Dr does not want to go in to take the plate out because it is a tough operation. I would big adjustment in life. I can't go into the oxygen tank because of other issues. I do just about everything . I also have a lump on my jaw that is bothersome.
It's called Lymphdema. I have been trying for months to find someone who had a free flap who would understand. We are lucky to be alive. My attitude has been good. I am afraid to be operated on again. Keep up you fight and thank you again.

I think its by halls but its some drops that are like cough drops but they help moisten the mouth. Maybe that would help. They sell them at Wal Mart

    Hi,
I tried to answer your question on makeup and the page would not load. I have found that most people are really helpful with this kind of thing. I know a couple of women who sell Mary Kay, who work with cancer patients - I know nothing about makeup myself but they helped with others I know who had scarring issues. My scar goes from ear to ear but I have gotten proud of it after this many years (a long time of learning). Google your local Mary Kay or Avon representatives and ask if they would be willing to work with you on this. It would be private and usually they are very caring. - Tracy

I hope my earlier message was posted, my computer is acting up. I have a friend who is a Mary Kay rep who can look up someone in your area if you would like. Mary Kay and Avon both come to your home and work personally with you. These are very good options in this kind of case. Mary Kay has worked with several people I know who wanted to cover scars. If this is a repeat I apologize, let me know if I can help, Tracy
