I was just diagnosed last month and my Dr would like to start me on immunotherapy. I was gonna go ahead because he told me that chemo may not work with my diagnoses but after reading the scary side effects I believe I’m gonna go with standard chemo. Any advise ? I’m questioning everything they recommend even though I know he’s the specialist and I’m not. They want to do chemo first and then surgery but I feel I should have surgery first. I Just had my chemo port placed Thursday so I’m sure chemo will be starting soon.

It is okay to be angry for a bit during this journey. So much happens, tests, procedures, new language. None of us would wish this journey on anyone. I have three different cancers and have had kidney, breast , and part of a lung removed. I have osteoporosis. It is the hand I got dealt and I am dealing with it. I try to continue to live my life and ignore the bumps and bruises along the way. Here is hoping for smooth sailing to you with Ai.

Catlovercarla, keep up the good work and welcome to the group. Keep LIVING with cancer and don't ever give up. Since being diagnosed myself I've had at least a dozen cats come through my home (some were fosters) and they kept me going. The animals seem to keep us going and keep us calm.
