Hi BILLSBULBS, Good to hear from you again, but sorry for the report on your wife, and not being happy with her oncologist. NOT GOOD! She most definitely needs someone she is comfortable with. Having lived in the northern suburbs of Chicago for 12 years I can only think of a couple hospitals, but it has been so long ago I don't know which ones have cancer treatment centers. I know a woman who has breast cancer, and she made the trip from NJ to the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, Illinois. She swears by them...I do not have any reason to recommend them or not. There are several of these CTCA places across the country. How about some hospitals affiliated with a university. I tend to think/believe that they are up on all the latest in medicine. I had my surgery and treatments at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, and was very pleased with everything. In fact I elieve my brother wrote a letter to the President of the hospital commending them on the attention they paid to me as a patient. They really were very good. I wish that I could be of more help. My best to you and your wife...Russ

    Hi Billsbulbs,
FOLFIRINOX is a FDA approved regimen for fighting Pancreatic Cancer. Your spouse's oncologist will be able to explain its pros & cons. While it has been very effective for my wife, its side effects can be harsh and not for everyone.
