Geez, I am so sorry to hear that. I am not sure having a diagnosis is better than wondering what is wrong. Please keep in close touch with how you and he are doing. I have no advice since I have no experience in the area. Just will listen if you need to vent. Bob is okay. I guess it will take a lot of time. progress seems very slow.

yes, he got to come last Monday. They took out his port, had staph infection in it and they put a picc line in this bicep. Home Health came in on Tuesday and he is having 21 days of iv antibiotic Rocephin at home. The other choice was go to rehab for three weeks for the treatments. Home Health is sending physical therapy in to help with balance issues and muscle tone loss. He seem to feel better, not a lot but some.

also, bob has been jerking while at the hospital. did ct scan. said they did not see anything. he goes to florida cancer center. dr luong. he had a lot of phlegm too. but not coughing, just spitting sometimes reddish brown and very smelly. they told us it was the radiation that caused it and the necrotic tissue in the mouth. they cultured it while he was in the hospital this week and it came back neg. for what ever reason and I am glad all the antibiotics have helped and it doesn't smell now.

I do understand. I feel like I am expected to be so strong when I feel my whole world has changed and will never be the same again. Bob has been in hospital all week and I am exhausted going back and forth. I was so frustrated at him at home because he started refusing to eat and getting up without help and fell twice. Just being stubborn. I feel like, Make my job even harder why don't you. And anytime you ask are you feeling better the answer is no. I know they are the patient but our job/lives go on 24/7 without a break and in our case without even a thank you. Bob has been so drugged up this week that I spent 5hours yesterday sitting in the chair watching him sleep and then went home and called to say goodnight and he said, aren't you coming down today? I thought, are you kidding me. I called the nurse and told her, you guys have got to cut out some of the drugs. He was better today so far. I go to work and no body even asks about him or me. I dont have calls asking if they can help. it is just me and my daughter. if you say anything they get this glazed look or avoid you. Once in a while someone says how are you. what am I supposed to say. I am at my limit and I cant take anymore? what choice do we have. its not like we can quit, right! bob is done with treatment but got a staph infection in his port. and they say it will be another month or so before he can swallow. if you are religious please forgive me but I hate it when someone says god doesn't put more on you than you can handle without giving you a way out. I will bet you a hundred bucks it hasn't happen to them. sorry I run off at the mouth sometimes hope your evening is better. I was able to talk to a therapist through my work a couple of times and she helped me with some of the guilt issues. I hope to see her again when I can find the time

Wow, sounds like these two could be twins. Bob had back surgery last sept and had back pain for years before that. so I have been dealing with this for months also. I had back surgery in jan of this year and one day after I got home from hospital he was complaining about having to get up to let the dog out to pee, one day!!. my daughter and I understand, we eat when he wants, we watch what tv or movies he wants. I feel for you. Hope it gets better, and if I find a solution you will the first I share it with.

Yes, we love them and would miss them. All of us would but we have feelings and needs. We are trying to help them during this terrible time in their lives. It is the trying to get them to fight for their lives not the action of "letting the dogs out" they we are striving for. We want them to live to continue to be a vital part of our lives. If they do lose the battle we want to remember this as a shared journey and not a "glad the #(%& is gone journey. I hope not offend, I try to be honest about the feelings. That is a part of what the therapist told me too is that we deserve to be treated with respect not abused. I am headed to hospital to hopefully bring him home today. I do feel a little guilty because even though I have been to the hospital every day I had a little peace in the evening for a few days. it is hard when you feel you are trying to keep two people alive and upbeat. hope your day has a little happiness.

    Re; Dearest friend,

My name is Nanthana Chansithipongse, I want to donate part of what I have to
the needy through. You could be surprised why I picked you. But someone has
to do it. I have been diagonalized with Breast and Blood disease which has
defiled all forms of medical treatment and I have been told by my doctor
that my days are numbered on earth.

I have been touched to donate from what I have made from this World to
charity through you for the good work of humanity, rather than allow my
relatives to use my hard earned funds inappropriately after my death. Please
email me favourmicheal24@ymail.com with your contact information such as Your Full Names, Address,
Direct Telephone number and direct email address so I can tell you what you
need to do and also give you more details about my intentions.

    Best Regards.

Hi. I was diagnosed beginning of May and tests still continue. My experience was lymph node in right axilla. It was removed and was 5’ x 3. Three others were removed but negative.I am pretty sure I have my last CT scan tomorrow. My tissue is in Miami and at John Hopkins. I just don’t get that they can find it anywhere else, maybe that is the only site. Never the less. The wait is extremely frustrating esp. when you don’t really feel sick.. How about you?

Hi Zzchap, Sure sounds like you have been through a lot more problems than we have. Bob just finished his radiation yesterday. He is still having trouble with tube feeding. Can't get enough calories in him. Will definitely help with any info we can.
