I am from Akron Ohio and was diagnosed last year with Stage IIB tnbc. I also had ACT chemo but opted for a mastectomy to avoid the radiation. How are you doing now?

What an amazing person Andy is to go through what he went through to be a donor. Best.

I just read about your micrometastasis found in your node after surgery. Did you have neoadjuvant chemo before surgery?

Welcome! I love the photo. I'm sorry that you are going through this, but you are not alone. I also live in Dublin. I was diagnosed almost 4 years ago with stage Ic triple positive. I had a bilateral mastectomy, 8 rounds of chemo and 1 year of Herceptin. I know how scary this is. Please feel free to reach out to me if you need anything.

Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Welcome! Love your photo. I am a Breast cancer survivor. Finished my chemo and radiation 1 yr ago. I was told I am in remission in June 2014. Had a rough time and lots of bad side effects. Still trying to work through side effects. I had 4 surgeries, chemo and radiation all in 1 1/2 yrs. I have seen 38 different dr's. None of this is easy. If you ever want to chat and talk about your treatment or ask me anything about my treatment, please feel free I am a good listener and open to talking. Sending you prayers. Hugs, Tina (40 yrs old, live in South Bend Indiana)
