I had exactly the same thing. your numbers for getting her2 to stay away without the proper treatment are wrong. If you do nothing your probability of reoccurrence is about 80% chance. They now have pertusamab sp? which will help the herceptin keep it away for about 25 years or maybe it won't come back ever. Your chance of it coming back with treatment is on 15%. It is my feeling that a lumpectomy is more on target but everyone is different. If it does come back I want it in a place like my breast so I can feel it. Not in my female parts. FYI I would have a hysterectomy as well. It love all the female parts. There is a very good article on the home page about holistic views. When you have nothing else. sure try that. But you have the most sophisticated medicine right there waiting for you to get well. Know the facts. They are the same for everyone with your condition. Its like a bad job for a year. that year comes and goes and your life will be better afterwards. Don't stop now. Best wishes

Between us (and anyone else reading this!), I wouldn't give Barryboomer's suggestion any credence. He has one answer to everything; he knows nothing about medical science except to call treatments "poison." He means well, but when it comes to breast cancer - ANY cancers, actually - his advice, if taken, can be harmful. I'm saying this only because you may be new to WhatNext and not aware of his recommendations. And I realize you weren't born yesterday and don't need my comment about what he wrote, but I had to say this anyway.

Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx. Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall. Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
